Events

**This is a recurring event that takes place on the first Sunday of each month** The Diocese of Joliet invites men who may be discerning a call to the priesthood to join a monthly gathering for conversation and guidance on the first Sunday of every month at St. Isaac Jogues Parish, in Hinsdale. Open to men from high school juniors and older, these meetings offer an opportunity to meet with priests, ask questions, and explore what it means to discern a vocation to the priesthood. Lunch will be served.

If you are a high school-through college-age man (up to age 24) who has not completed undergraduate studies and has ever considered the priesthood, you might be wondering about your next steps. You are not alone.

Come witness the ordination of Matt Bernhard (Manhattan, IL), Joseph Nguyen (Hinsdale, IL), Frank Perrotta (Yorkville, IL), and Josh Solarz (Roselle, IL) to the transitional diaconate. After more than seven years of discernment and seminary preparation, this is the moment when these men will make the lifelong commitment to laying down their lives for God and His people. After serving for the next six months in the diocese as deacons, they are scheduled to be ordained priests on June 5, 2027.
