Explore College Prep Schools that Form Both Head and Heart

Families looking for a high school experience that prepares students not only for college, but for a life of faith, purpose, and service, are invited to attend the Catholic High School Admissions Fair on Wednesday, September 16, from 6-8 p.m. at Benedictine University in Lisle.

The event will bring together Catholic high schools from across the region to showcase the unique benefits of a Catholic college preparatory education. Sponsored by the Diocese of Joliet and Benedictine University in partnership with the Archdiocese of Chicago and Diocese of Rockford, the fair provides families with an opportunity to meet school representatives, learn about admissions and financial aid, and discover how Catholic high schools help students grow intellectually, spiritually, and morally.

At a time when parents are seeking schools that reinforce the values taught at home, Catholic high schools offer an education that forms both the head and the heart. Students are challenged through rigorous academics that prepare them for college and future careers while also learning the virtues of integrity, responsibility, compassion, and respect for others.

Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, Catholic schools help young people develop a strong moral foundation, deepen their faith, and discern God's call for their lives.

"Catholic education is about much more than academic achievement," said Greg Porod, Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Joliet. "Our schools prepare students for success in college and beyond while helping them develop the character, values, and faith needed to navigate today's challenges. Parents want their children to become not only knowledgeable and accomplished adults, but also compassionate leaders and disciples of Christ. That is the mission of our Catholic schools."

The admissions fair will feature the following schools:

  • Aurora Central Catholic, Aurora
  • Benet Academy, Lisle
  • Chesterton Academy, Lisle
  • Fenwick High School, Oak Park
  • IC Catholic Prep, Elmhurst
  • Joliet Catholic Academy, Joliet
  • Marist High School, Chicago
  • Marmion Academy, Aurora
  • Montini Catholic, Lombard
  • Nazareth Academy, LaGrange Park

  • Rosary College Prep, Aurora
  • St. Francis High School, Wheaton
  • St. Laurence High School, Burbank
  • St. Lawrence Seminary High School, Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin

“Choosing the right-fit high school is an important decision, and the Catholic High School Admissions Fair helps families explore a wide range of outstanding options by bringing together some of the region’s top Catholic schools in one location,” Porod said. “Our Catholic high schools offer strong academics, vibrant faith communities, opportunities for service, and pathways to future success. We encourage all families to attend to discover schools where their student can thrive and grow into the person God is calling them to be, and that feels like home.”

The fair will be held at Benedictine’s Daniel L. Goodwin Hall of Business, located at 5700 College Road in Lisle. Families may register to attend by clicking HERE.. Walk ins are welcome.
